Foggy Morning 🏡🌫️
a collection of 10 songs (mostly) made in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn with some surprise guests
what if you were not your thoughts?
what if you were nothing at all?
a colorful memory
a forgettable dream
I’ve been dreaming of doing a themed solo project like this for a while and plan on doing many more. this collection of songs captures a specific time, location, and feeling. I began most of these songs with Nick Verruto in winter ’22/’23 at Mason Jar Studio in Brooklyn. our sessions were brief, dense, and left lasting impressions on my artistic psyche.
these records are about watching New York City wake back up again. meditation. posting short vertical videos on the internet. trying to be more aware of my ego. learning how to trust my collaborators more. introversion. imperfectionism. train-of-thought.
I made some really cool artist friends around this time—SOLOMON, Linda Diaz, Amaria, and Journi—and I’m so grateful they joined me on this journey
a little bit about the 2 new guest features-
I stumbled upon SOLOMON as he blew up on TikTok with his captivating performance videos. we had a happenstance viral moment in Brooklyn that bloomed into an original song we wrote with two amazing producers Zach Ezzy and Stix. SOLOMON mostly performs with guitar, and I play piano, so I love how this song combines both of our styles in such an eclectic way. it’s about feeling misunderstood and wishing you could disappear sometimes.
I met Linda Diaz in a session with Sam Wills at Mason Jar, and since then, we’ve hung out and sung together almost every time we’re in the same city. I highly recommend checking out her Tiny Desk Contest-winning performance video. we wrote this song about fighting over a bisexual guy at a bar. it’s produced by half.cool who also produced one of my favorite records I’ve dropped Kinda Like Paradise. we’ll let you decide who won the battle… hehe.
I hope you like these records as much as I do and I’ll def be posting some b-sides on socials over these next few weeks
warmth
