greetings from LA. I’ve been here for a few weeks doing some sessions and diving into my looper machine a bit more. I’m also dropping a single today with an insanely talented singer Journi I met a few years back. we met up for the first time and made a couple videos that very quickly went viral on tiktok. and just about every other time we met up after that we kept going viral. of course we had to write a song together. it’s called ‘Don’t Look My Way’ and it’s out everywhere now.

totally acknowledge it’s not for everyone, but this crazy app TikTok has changed my life over the past few years. as the US government debates whether to ban the platform 🙃 I’ve been gathering some thoughts I’ve had about my experience on it in the form of a twitter/X thread called “tiktok and the yassification of the world.” it’s a work-in-progress and I might eventually turn it into an essay or video. very curious to get your thoughts + critique.
